Championing women in history

Lynsey Shaw is a creative producer, performer and founder of Heroine City, a storytelling studio developing female-led historical IP across immersive, digital and screen formats. Her work bridges heritage, entertainment and cultural memory, with a focus on reimagining how history is told for contemporary audiences.Her career began in music, performing with chart-topping acts across major UK stages, before moving to Los Angeles to work in television and film production. Returning to the UK, she has led award-winning digital first and immersive projects including ‘Charlie’s 2020 Vision’ and the Edinburgh Fringe production ‘Once Upon a Crime,’ alongside large-scale heritage and digital storytelling initiatives.She holds a distinction in MA Cultural Heritage and is currently a doctoral researcher in History and Cultural Memory at King’s College London, where her research informs her practice in developing new narrative forms grounded in real history.
